English - an evolving language

As you know, English is an evolving language (hence the Post title). Words which were once not even in existance have become commonplace.

Had you used the word "Blog" in casual conversation, for example 30 years ago, you would have been treated as if you had recently escaped from a mental institution and asked for an octopus and a moonrock.

To this end, I propose a new verb for NZ English - to Veitch. Meaning to bash your partner. In honour of NZ's latest basher (in the style of the famous NZ Romantic Comedy "Once were warriors"); Tony "I snapped" Veitch.

As an example for your reference:
"Shut up, or I'll Veitch you."
"She was getting lippy, so I gave her a Veitch"
"Wow, who gave you the Veitching?"

BTW, I'm inpressed that he even could beat up a girl. She must have been asleep.
